When WICKED took Jessica away from her brother, her limits will be tested. In order to design the Maze, with aims of getting rid of The Flare, a virus spreading across the world, sacrifices have to be made. However, she doesn't support WICKED's means of finding a solution. Test subjects wake in the Maze with no recollection of their past and are pushed to their boundaries. It is either you break out of it, or die trying.

Jessica wants to help the Gladers break out of the Maze, the first phase of the Trials, but in the process finds herself sent into Group B of the Maze, the very thing she designed, with no memory of her involvement. Can she help them break out of the Maze, or will she too suffer a devastating outcome?
