The Midnight Orchid | Ilia Malinin

She was the undisputed crown jewel of Russian figure skating, the "Ice Phantom", until one fateful fall shattered her knee, her career, and her world.

Cast aside by her coaches and suffocating under the heavy expectations of a father trying to "protect" her, Cat became a ghost in the sunny heat of Spain, far away from the biting cold of the ice she loved. But the ice never truly leaves you.

When her godparents and childhood friend, Ilia "Quad God" Malinin, pull her back into the world she left behind, Cat is forced to face her deepest fears. Together in Virginia, amidst grueling training, late night video games, and a bond that blurs the line between friendship and something much deeper, they begin the fragile process of reconstruction.

What starts as quiet glances across the boards and fierce, unspoken loyalty slowly erupts into a profound love story. In a world defined by cutthroat scores and merciless competition, Ilia becomes the one person willing to catch her when she falls, not just as a partner on the ice, but as the keeper of her heart.

But rebuilding a broken legacy and risking your heart on the same ice isn't just about landing the jumps, it's about learning how to fly on your own terms.

The "Ice Phantom" is gone. Enter the Midnight Orchid.
