For three centuries, Valdris Academy has trained the Twelve Heirs of Etheris - elite sigil-bearers chosen from the twelve kingdoms to maintain balance across a fragile world protected by the Veilward barrier.

When the current Twelve are summoned by royal decree on a mission to retrieve the Solveyn, the Founding Relic that stabilizes reality itself, they vanish without return. Officially, they are declared lost. Unofficially, their disappearance marks the beginning of something far more dangerous than war.

In response, the kingdoms appoint a New Twelve - replacements meant to restore stability and preserve public order. But beneath the surface, the truth is unraveling: the disappearance of the original Twelve was not an accident, and the mission to recover Solveyn was never meant to succeed.

Into this collapsing structure awakens Ren Solis, a modern workaholic suddenly inhabiting the body of a forgotten student inside Valdris Academy. She is assigned to a position that should not exist - the mysterious Thirteenth Seat - a role erased from history and denied by all official records.

Ren carries no memories of this world, yet her body reacts with impossible instincts. A burned sigil on her palm responds to forces tied to Solveyn itself, and fragments of another consciousness within her begin to surface - a version of herself tied to the ancient foundations of Etheris.
