The Great Ebullition

A hundred years ago, a disease broke out. It was the result of a failed attempt at an anti-aging serum, but it went disastrously wrong. And it spread like wildfire. Sure, the infected stayed young, but they were not themselves... Except for some, like Grace. The thing is, Grace can't remember anything before that horrible day, which she calls the Day of Death. While the others fought each other, Grace fled into the wilderness, where she remained for the next century, her body frozen at eighteen years old.
That is, until, a boy from the life she doesn't remember finds her and brings her home to The Eberstein Center For Experimental Research. TECFER is the only safe haven left in America, for the disaster of climate change has wrecked so much of the world so irredeemably that there are few places left that are even still habitable. At TECFER, they've developed the cure, and Grace is finally human again. But she still doesn't remember a thing.
As Grace navigates her new life, shadows of the old Grace haunt her around every turn. And even after a hundred years, secrets are still lurking in the laboratories of TECFER, waiting for a girl like Grace to discover them.
