Seventeen-year-old Raven Madison has hated Trevor Mitchell since kindergarten.
At least, that's what she tells herself.
Trevor is everything Raven can't stand about Dullsville: rich, beautiful, infuriatingly popular, and worshipped as the town's golden-boy soccer star. Raven is the goth girl who would rather spend Friday nights in a cemetery, watching horror movies, or consuming vampire romance novels than be anywhere near where Trevor belongs.
They've been at war for years, but somewhere along the way, rivalry became obsession. Every insult carries too much history, every argument feels too personal, and each attempt at sabotage and revenge only seems to deepen their obsession. On top, neither of them wants to examine why jealousy has started looking suspiciously like possession.
As Raven's eighteenth birthday approaches, stranger things begin happening. Her dreams grow darker. Shadows seem to follow her home. And then Alexander Sterling arrives: mysterious, gothic, beautiful, and... possibly a vampire? He is seemingly everything Raven has always wanted. He may even offer her a door into the underworld that she has always dreamed of.
This should make forgetting Trevor easy.
It doesn't.
