What would you do if you found yourself in the middle of a forest at midnight, a flesh-eating monster staring right at you?

After the bodies of some young men are found half-eaten in the village center, Derah, an orphan is dragged by the villagers and forcefully sacrificed to Eldryc, the flesh-eating monster that inhabits the forest.

Desperate to survive, she strikes a deal with the mischievous but self-loathing creature. He hates what he is and wants to create the perfect tonic to destroy his beast side and make him completely human.

To earn her freedom and survival, she must help him achieve this by the next blood moon, after which the tonic would lose its power, and she, her chance at freedom.

As the race against time begins, Derah slowly starts to see that beneath his glowing red eyes and black claws, there is more to Eldryc.

But things take a chilling turn when the villagers, after finding out that he spared her, conclude he is weak and gather weapons to attack him.

And a worse turn when Eldryc's estranged father - a more brutal and heinous monster - shows up and makes Derah his target.

Caught between two monsters - one she's starting to care about, and another who wants to tear her to pieces - everyday could be Derah's best. . . or last.
