So Saelenne grew beneath grey skies and weirwood trees instead of painted ceilings and courtly smiles. She learned the names of Northern houses before she learned the games of politics. The people of Winterfell knew her not as a princess, but as the gentle girl with the white dragon who wandered the kitchens, listened to old stories, and remembered servants by name.
