Born on the same day a portal tore through the sky to unleash disfigured beasts embodying corruption and malice, Kallaias Northbourne, the egotistic, pretentious, sly, and mysterious son of the Duke of Isandor, is labeled as a curse and harbinger of destruction. However, as prophecies predict the coming of an even more formidable foe, fate has a twisted sense of humor, as he is the only being capable of reassembling the Moonstaff, a powerful tool crafted by the celestials themselves to stop them.

To his dismay, fate's humorless tricks are far from over, as in order to thwart the plans of the incoming perils, he must join hands with Cielle, infamously known as the unyielding disgrace of the prestigious Dawnmere ancestry for not bearing a single measure of power flowing through her core.

Together with the Master Mage's journal, Kallaias, Cielle, and an unsuspecting visitor, this mismatched trio must go on an adventure to reconstruct the Moonstaff while defeating corrupt beasts, overcoming obstacles, and discovering who they are beyond what the world labels them to be.
