Eidolon University, the place where the rivalry would begin and end, according to everyone else that was, but what if they were never meant to part as rivals but something much more?

Dan Heng Laurent, one of the university's foremost student-athletes, excelled in academics and sports like neither required effort. He never wasted his attention on things he considered beneath his interest. Relationships never mattered to him, people barely did either. According to him, very few deserved his respect.

Caelus Carter never backed down from a fight. Reckless, prideful, and known for his violent temper, most people assumed he was just another arrogant athlete with a playboy reputation. Until they watched him dominate just as easily in academics as he did in sports. Nobody could intimidate him, nobody except perhaps the one person who looked at him like he wasn't worth the effort.

But since the day before the start of senior year, their rivalry seemed to take a turn neither of them saw coming.

"Why the hell is this girl still following me around with two damn bodyguards in the middle of the night?" Caelus clicks his tongue in irritation. "It's been three months since we hooked up and she still hasn't gotten off my back."

"Because I've been seeing someone from another university," he says flatly, trying to get them off his back.

"..."

She stays silent for a second before laughing outright.

Caelus exhales sharply about to tell the girl to get lost.

Then his eyes land on someone nearby.
A man dressed in a dark hoodie.

And before logic can catch up to him, Caelus acts.

"Hey, princess~"

He grabs the stranger by the waist and pulls him close.

The man instantly stiffens in his hold.
"Just go with it for five minutes," Caelus whispers to the man now in his arms.

The stranger slowly lifts his head, and Caelus immediately regrets every decision he's made tonight when cold eyes glare at him from beneath the hood.
