Pranay Gupta absolutely had no business falling in love.

He was simply at the right place at the right time.

Context?

His engineering had just gotten over. And as a responsible twenty-three-year-old graduate who had survived endless assignments, horrendous Vivas and brutal comments from professors, it was his moral obligation to go on a trip with his college friends before the actual corporate life began.

After a thousand midnight chats, calls and chaos-Dibrugarh, Assam was finalised. Dibrugarh - a city nestled on the banks of River Brahmaputra, famous for its tea gardens and misty mornings.

However, little did he know that this trip was going to introduce him to a young, jovial Assamese woman Mrinalini Baruah.

It wasn't love at first sight as Bollywood movies romanticise. Neither was it a temporary attraction.

With the elegance of her traditional Bihu dance that left Pranay quietly mesmerized.

What started as casual conversations slowly became shared cups of chai, sleepy sunrise walks, and endless baatein under open skies. Somewhere between tea gardens and stolen glances, friendship turned into something far more dangerous.
