In the heart of Eremita stands Xequla - a towering quartzite deity that has watched over the city for centuries.

By summer, its colossal form shields the streets in cooling shadow.

By winter, its stone radiates warmth against the bitter winds.

With jewelled eyes of violet and glass-blue fixed endlessly upon the people below, Xequla has long been worshipped as protector, guardian and silent witness of freedom.

When the beloved hero of the city, Hotguy, follows the only lead in a brutal case that has left thousands injured or dead, he finds himself standing beneath the monument at midnight, desperate for answers.

But something is wrong.

A fresh fracture splits the deity's arm, exposing something impossible beneath the quartzite:

Flesh.
Fabric.
Something human?

As the cracks spread through the sacred statue, so too does the terrifying truth hide inside it.
With no other leads and panic rising through Eremita, Hotguy is forced to uncover the disturbing secret buried within the city's greatest symbol before the entire foundation of their world collapses.
