Interstice

Sixteen‑year‑old Kayami Nakajima has been living on the streets since the night she fled her abusive home in 2005. Two years later, in 2007, her life has narrowed to survival: cold nights, empty stomachs, and no real hope of escape.

That changes the moment she's offered shelter by a weary convenience‑store clerk, Ryuutaro. While catching her breath in the back room, Kayami slips through the floor and into a vast, impossible world of liminal spaces. Ryuutaro is pulled in with her, leaving the two stranded in an endless maze of echoing corridors, fluorescent purgatories, and places that shouldn't exist.

Now, Kayami must navigate the shifting interstice while clinging to her sanity, her memories, and the fragile hope that she might one day return to the life she lost.
