After stabbing her father and watching him flee into the night, she finds refuge with a kind neighbor who insists there is more to her story.

Quiet, withdrawn, and oddly protective of the man she wounded, Seraphina seems less like a danger and more like a child carrying burdens no one can see.

But the deeper people look into her life, the less sense her story begins to make.
