Like I'm slowly being dragged to my death. Yet I just won't die.

This story is one of survival. A story about a boy whose only choice was to smile through the pain.

Denki Kaminari did not live a lavish life. Stuck in a run down house with a father that sleeps through most afternoons and a kid that can barely take care of himself, Denki has no other choice but to work himself to the bone.

Even if that means spending most night entangled in bed with a stranger to afford living.

But a body can only handle this much before breaking down. And when Denki starts falling behind in class. And starts losing control of his quirk at practice, a certain ash blond is the first to notice.

"It's dunce face... he somehow smiles more."

"I don't know what it is. It pisses me off."

Once the pain becomes too much to bare... what else can one do but smile.

How much longer can Denki hide the bruises, the sleepless nights, his fear of being touched and his scars that run deeper than the surface of his skin.
