This story is about Kadence James, the daughter of Danielle (Dani) and Taytum James. This story takes place several years after "First Crush, My Forever" and can be read as a stand-alone story. At 24 years old, Kadence James is ready to start her career as a school counselor, landing a job at her former San Antonio high school. She's grown up, professional, and ready for a fresh start, but there is one person from her past she didn't expect to run into. Ashlyn Davis is 39, a divorced mother of two, and part of the English Department. She also happens to be Kadence's former Kindergarten and sixth grade school teacher.

The only problem though is that they are now workplace peers sharing a faculty lounge, and the undeniable tension between them is anything but academic. While Ashlyn tries to stick to professional boundaries, Kadence is determined to prove she isn't a kid anymore. Will the 15 year age gap and their past history keep them apart, or are they destined to cross the line? Will a familiar face from the past become her future? There's only one way to find out and that's to read "I Remember You."
