After overachiever scholar Norma Callete's running mate, the social butterfly Anthony Jay 'Tony' De Milo ghosted her for the rest of the summer, he resurfaces in her life, eventually asking her to run a new race with him--a political one.
***
Norma Callete is used to being alone because for a scholar like her, friendships are expensive and the only thing that matters is to graduate already to end her struggles. But when Tony De Milo befriends her, she finds herself running away from him to check if her feelings for him is for real or a result of him being the only person at school she is friends with.
Meanwhile, Tony De Milo is a natural social butterfly, ready to get rid of his non-committal reputation. He flutters and lands on one person and clique to another in pursuit of discovering his self-identity to determine what kind of future does he really want for himself.
But when the student council election period officially starts, their beliefs and upbringings that shaped them are tested, along with the foundation of their characters, relationships, and point of views about truth and self-expression. It is the kind of battle that threatens to split Tony and Norma apart.
