Lola & The Jingly Shillings

Dolores "Lola" Ventura has always known there were things in the world no one could explain - no creo en brujas pero que las hay, las hay, right? But nothing could have prepared her for time-travel being a real thing. Stuck in 1923 Sheffield, Lola needs to find a way to survive without a safety net and with only the faintest idea of which social norms to abide by. Luckily, she is quickly hired by the newly opened The Jingly Shillings pub as a barmaid, and offered a small cupboard to sleep in temporarily. Now, all she needs to do is mind her own business and steer clear of the pub's less-than-law-abiding staff and their less-than-legal (or-ethical) dealings. Nevertheless, when a gang war breaks loose and Lola's employer is no other than gang boss Roy Finch, she has no choice but to get involved in the boys' business, and become part of the family.
