The lie was supposed to last one night. After a race weekend celebration organized by Max Verstappen, rookie drivers Kimi Antonelli and Oliver Bearman find themselves in a situation neither of them planned for. One wrong drink. One drunken confession. And suddenly, Ollie casually announces to a table full of Formula 1 drivers that he's dating Kimi. Kimi knows Ollie is drunk. Meanwhile, Ollie tries to face the consequences of cheating on Kimi. The Italian seems to want nothing to do with Ollie, but is that really the truth? As an important race win reveals the many lies Ollie has told, will Kimi be able to face him again? Or will he bury his feelings? What about Gabi, who can't seem to let Ollie go? "I say I love you, you say nothing back" is the third story in the Clarity saga. It is possible to be read as a standalone. This fic canonically follows the 2026 F1 season and its results. Kimi's own mother scolded him for keeping their "relationship" a secret, telling them that maturity wasn't about age, but about responsibility. Caught up in the happiness of everyone around them, Kimi and Ollie didn't have the heart to annul the mistake. They decided to keep up the act.
