Celeste is a simple, perfectionist of a girl who just wants to live a normal life, but she has one big secret. A secret so big she can't even tell her guardian aunt. After the trauma of her boyfriend of three years cheating on her, Celeste is broken down and can no longer control anything in her life, even when her secret teeters over the edge of being kept and being exploited. She eventually is thrown into Oakland University by her aunt who wanted her to have a distraction. There, she finds people like her, people who not only share her secret, but people who will one day be best friends, and possibly new lovers.

Knowing she needed a place to stay until she could find a way back home, Celeste accepted the offer. Taking up residence with Ciel at the Phantomhive manor, Celeste began her journey. As he starts to develop feeling for the young woman. New to the feelings, as demons haven't been known to feel them, he is unsure of how to deal with them. Lady Demetria is also finding herself battling her own feelings, learning of Sebastian's past through asking him simple questions as he refuses to tell her anything about his life before Ciel.
