She groaned in annoyance, a hint of her surrender. She must finally be defeated. Now I can go back home in peace. Before I could draw another conclusion, she removed the dagger all together and strapped it back to her belt. I was about to push her off of me, but I may have moved too soon. She used two of her hands to grip my shoulders and push me against the wall once more. It took me so off guard that I practically slipped and my height had lowered significantly before the taller woman. I'm pretty sure that was her objective in the first place. I'm wishing I hadn't used half of my power earlier. I would have used it, but I spent the last few minutes running away from the commotion while using my biggest shadows and draining my power rather than saving it. "I don't want to hurt you," she said in a whisper. "But I will if I have to." "Go ahead and do it," I challenged. "Or are you too scared to touch me?" ・・・ When Valoria Monroe becomes the new queen, she's left with a mountain of responsibilities. Her father kept behind loads of work and secrets she did not know of before he passed. She was oblivious to everything-- the kingdom, the people, and even to herself. While Valoria attempted to solve the many issues popping up, Sarayah stayed hidden in the shadows. She stole for a living-- trying to survive in that cruel world. She didn't believe in depending on others or having faith in that wretched place. She stayed alive on her own and made the best of her circumstances. A thief and a queen. Who would've thought that they would end up working together to help save the world from everlasting doom?
