Cata ran through an opening that lead to a dark corridor. She could hear her twin, Cato, chasing her in the  distance. A small stack of stairs were elevating in a spiral pattern far up into the castle. Cata felt a tight knot grow in her stomach that made her stop in the center of the staircase, and crouch into a small ball holding her stomach. She held a small locket her mother gave her years ago to her breast. Cato's foot steps were getting closer and closer by the minuets. Cata's next move was not discoverable yet, for she was in excruciating pain that led from her stomach to her head. Now the pain was going to her toes, and she looked to see her skin turning a dark blue.

(Making her naive to the cruelty of the world.) She always wanted to see the world outside of the castle. Though everyone saw her as a weak helpless princess that needs to be protected, and hidden from the cruel world she desperately wants to see with her blue eyes. A witch shows up one late after noon and offers her magic mirror, that can show her the outside world from just looking into it. She only needs to imagine the place she wants to see and will be there. The princess though was being a jerk so the witch cursed the mirror. Making it so that the princess ever looked into it, she will become a fearsome dragon. "The princess will no longer be a princess and she will see the world she desperately wants to see. Her soft skin will turn scaled. Her silk like hair will disappear and be replaced with sharp horns. She will be the monster outside as that she is inside." Whispered the witch.

The prince and girl fell in love, but couldn't be together, for the nobleman's daughter grew jealous when she found out, and ordered them to be killed. This story was called "The Lover's Curse." As it passed down, generation through generation, it became known as only a legend, a myth.
