Thunder Beneath the Clouds

Kaezer Klein Rivera was never the type to get distracted.

A top student in Manufacturing Engineering, she lived her life in numbers, deadlines, and silence. Emotions were unnecessary. People were optional. And distractions, especially loud, arrogant ones like Khira Asher Mendoza, were strictly unacceptable.

He was everything she wasn't, loud, playful, infuriatingly charming, and the campus basketball star who acted like nothing in the world could ever weigh him down. Not even her cold stares.

They were never supposed to work. Not as classmates. Not as rivals. Not as anything. But some people don't leave your system easily... And some feelings don't stay buried no matter how hard you calculate them away. So when rules were made, strict, logical, carefully drawn lines between "us" and "nothing", they thought it would be enough.
