"Daddy!" You called, running at me, blanket and stuffed bear in hand. I put down my book, all focus on you. "Isn't it your bed-time?" I asked. You pouted, your head lowering. "I can't sleep." I gathered you up, and you sat down in my lap. Leaning back in the chair, I asked; "Why don't I tell you a story?" You squealed with excitement, getting comfortable. "Once upon a time," I started, "there was a prince, named Elias, who lived in the kingdom of Jeravia. He was a happy Prince, doing whatever he pleased, whenever he wanted." I raised the pitch of my voice, yelling toward the kitchen. "'Elias!'" You giggled. "Said his mother." I continued in my normal narrator voice, "'In order to keep the peace with our enemies, the kingdom of Yaswen, you are to be betrothed to one of their princesses!'" You gasped. "No!" I smiled. "Yes."
