Missing Charon

Pluto spent an eternity wandering through the cold, silent edges of the universe, believing that loneliness was the only fate written among his stars, until he found his Charon-the one soul whose gravity felt like home, whose presence warmed even the darkest corners of his endless night, and for a while, the emptiness between galaxies no longer seemed so vast because every orbit, every distant sunrise, and every passing age was shared with someone who understood him; but the cruelest thing about finding a love that feels eternal is realizing that eternity can still end, and in the end, Pluto was left to drift alone once more, carrying the memory of Charon like a fading constellation in his heart, forever circling the space where his other half used to be, knowing that even though the universe had given him everything he had ever wished for, it had eventually taken it all away, leaving him with nothing but the unbearable beauty of what once was.
