It started as a simple favor: Jayna Stevens took her twin brother's place while he was away. She never meant to steal anyone's heart - least of all the school's beautiful head cheerleader. Ginny Natnicha

The Bangkok afternoon heat was nothing compared to the fire in Jayna's lungs as she executed a perfect crossover, the basketball a blur of orange against the polished gym floor. She was the definition of an extrovert-loud, athletic, and perpetually wearing a mischievous smirk that suggested she knew a secret you didn't. After sinking a final three-pointer, she didn't head for the showers; instead, she sauntered toward the sidelines where the cheer squad was packing up. Her eyes locked onto Ginny, the flyers' lead and a pre-med prodigy whose introverted, composed nature was a "social world" Jayna was dying to disrupt. "Nice catch, Doc," Jayna teased, her voice dropping to a low, naughty vibrato as she leaned into Ginny's personal space. "But I've calculated the profit of that blush you're hiding, and it's definitely worth a foul." Ginny felt her heart do a frantic "fast-break" against her ribs, her face flaring into a deep crimson that matched her pompoms. To her, life was a rigid blueprint of medical modules and the crushing weight of her surgeon parents' expectations-a world where "deviance" was a dangerous word. She tried to maintain her clinical objectivity, clutching her anatomy textbook like a shield, but Jayna's bold, grease-smudged presence was a literal engine of chaos. "I was observing the trajectory for a sociological study, Jayna. You're just... distracting," Ginny whispered, her shy voice barely audible over the thump of the ball. Jayna only grinned wider, her athletic frame casting a shadow over the "golden girl" of the medical faculty, and in that silent, symbolic interaction, the quiet doctor-to-be realized her carefully constructed order was about to be beautifully broken.
