When I was about 14 I started writing a comic. I had just seen Guardians of the Galaxy, and I was super into One Piece. I came up with an idea for a comic inspired by both. Halfway through coloring the first issue, I realized I was unhappy with the art style. I have up on the comic and decided to write the story as a novel instead. At 16, I started writing in my notes app on my daily train commute. I finished the manuscript around age 19, but by that time I had lost interest in publishing it. The manuscript and art has been sitting in my drive for 7 years. Now, it feels juvenile and poorly written, but it seems like a shame to let all that work go to waste. So I've decided to post a chapter here every week. Maybe someone will be interested in it.
