Safe Hands, Broken Past

Hydra kidnapped you as a child. You had spent your whole life in a cell, being experimented on, being used as a weapon. You never knew what love was like. You always felt sad and alone, and you thought you'd be happier in the ground.

One day, the Avengers destroyed the Hydra base that you were being kept in. The building crumbled around you, and all you remembered was a man running after you before your vision went black. You woke up in a hospital bed. You saw Captain America sitting next to you. "Hey kid. Don't worry, you're safe here."

He convinced the others to let you stay at the tower. There was an open room, so they let you have it.

Steve helped you settle in. He grew on you quickly. You didn't talk much, but you felt safe around him. He knew that, and it warmed his heart. Getting used to the others took longer. Tony asked for your help in his lab, and you immediately knew he didn't need you, he just wanted you there. That caused a funnest feeling inside of you. You ignored it.
