The Love We Left Behind

Five years ago, I walked away from the man I thought I would spend forever with.

Life took me thousands of miles away from home, into a marriage that looked picture-perfect on the outside-but slowly crumbled into pieces behind closed doors. Broken and exhausted, umuwi ako sa Pilipinas. Ang plano ko lang naman ay huminga, magbago, at hanapin muli ang sarili ko.

Hindi ko inaasahan na sa isang ordinaryong gabi, sa gitna ng pamilyar na ingay ng isang restaurant, muli ko siyang makakaharap.

He was different now. More mature, wildly successful, and somehow... even harder to resist. But things aren't as simple as they used to be. May bago na akong karelasyon, may kanya-kanya na kaming buhay, at pareho naming alam na ang nakaraan ay hindi na basta-basta pwedeng balikan.

Pero paano kung sa kabila ng mga binuo naming pader, siya pa rin ang hinahanap ng puso ko? Paano kung ang taong akala kong tuluyan nang nawala, ay naghihintay lang pala sa tamang panahon?
