Charlotte Miller: Charlotte has worked all her life to become a ballerina, starting off teaching herself and continuing to grow with lessons. Despite their finical situation, Charlotte and her mom have been able to live a fulfilling life with just to two of them. When she is accepted into the prestigious dance academy Pax Deux, she is ecstatic. Yet the college will not be as much as she wished it to be. She will have to work harder than she ever had before to keep up with the privately trained talented ballerinas in her class and keep her scholarship. And worst of all, avoid the snide comments and glare of Juliet Bailey, the most talented and rich girl in her year. She just has to power through the year avoiding Juliet. If she can do that, she will be able to keep her scholarship without a struggle. The problem? Juliet seems to keep showing up wherever Charlotte is, like a curse with no end. Juliet Bailey: Juliet has been training in ballet since she was just turning 1, her mom her biggest supporter and challenger. Her mother, Helen Bailey, has pushed her to always be the best no matter what and had her on a strict diet and training plan since she was 8. Her acceptance into Pax Deux was no surprise, she was the most sought out oncoming ballerina, and her mother would accept no less than the best university for her daughter. She is everything the academy could want from a dancer, precise, confident, driven, powerful yet elegant, serious, hardworking, and orderly. She does not take it as a hobby, yet a serious sport. She is competitive and will do anything to become the next greatest ballerina of her time. She needs to become the top of her class. She need's to be able to be recognized by scouts for her raw talent. Getting accepted was just the first step. She won't tolerate anyone trying to stop her or get in her way. She'll make her mother proud. No matter how annoying and strangely cute she finds the poor Pittsburgh girl. She's not going to be a distraction.

Alessandra has never believed in safety. Life never gave her a reason to. Pain carved her childhood, silence became her armor, and trust? That was a luxury she could never afford. So when she runs -- bloody, broken, and barely breathing, she doesn't expect saving. She certainly doesn't expect to be taken in by a family dripping in wealth and power and. . . warmth? A mother who refuses to give up on her. A father who watches like he's waiting for her to let him in. And six brothers. Rough. Protective. Complicated. Brothers, who don't know what to do with a sister who won't speak. She doesn't know how to trust. How to believe that maybe not everyone wants to hurt her. Every instinct tells her to run. To shut down. But they don't let her go. Not when she flinches. Not when she hides. Not even when she breaks. Happiness is for other people, or that's what she believes. But when love comes wrapped in gentle patience and fierce protection, when hands reach for her without demand, when hearts break themselves wide open just to hold her... she starts to wonder. Can a girl stitched together with silence and fear ever belong in a family built on love? Can she stand tall when the ghosts of her past refuse to let go? And when danger claws its way back into her life, threatening everything she's come to know... will she find her voice, or will she shatter all over again? Trigger Warnings: Child abuse. Violence. Addiction. Panic attacks. SA. Self-harm. Death, and more.
