When the disgraced Vellano family moves to the quiet coastal town of Crescent Bay, Vincent and Vivenne Vellano expect nothing more than a boring fresh start. Instead, they find a town filled with secrets. Fishermen whisper about songs heard far beyond the shore. Boats vanish without explanation. Strange things wash up on the beach. And deep beneath the ocean, something is watching. The locals avoid certain parts of the coast.

Fishermen refuse to sail after dark. And whenever questions are asked about the ocean, nobody seems willing to answer. As strange events begin piling up around them, Vincent becomes increasingly drawn toward the sea. A distant song. A feeling of being watched. The sense that something is waiting just beyond the horizon.

Then one stormy night, Vincent and Vivenne disappear. Their bodies are never found.
