Vaporal Impact is a modern military fantasy set in the world of Slara, where magic is expressed through unique personal abilities called Expressions. The story follows Rezen Fujihara, an 18-year-old street fighter from the crime-ridden Southline District of Blackwater City, whose dream of becoming the world's greatest underground mage is shattered after a violent encounter with the Mage Corps forces him into military service. Assigned to the infamous Squad Nine under the legendary Arata Kuroda, Rezen enters a world far larger and deadlier than anything he has ever known. As political tensions push nations toward a global war, he must survive elite mages, brutal combat, military life, and the consequences of his own reckless nature while discovering what kind of mage and man he truly wants to become.
