Where You Left Me

Carter and Siena were inseparable until the summer before freshman year, when Carter decided that a relationship would be a distraction from the intense discipline required to make the NHL. He broke Siena's heart with a cold, calculated speech about "priorities," leaving her behind in their hometown.

Three years later, Carter is a senior and the undisputed king of the rink, but his game has grown reckless and his temper is shortening. When Siena transfers to Vanguard University for her final year, the collision is inevitable.

Siena has spent years moving on and building a life where Carter isn't the center, and she's determined to ignore the "golden boy" who ghosted her. Carter, however, finds that his performance on the ice starts to slip every time he sees her across campus. As they are forced to interact-due to a mutual friend group and an unexpected shared internship, Carter realizes that the ambition he thought would make him happy has only left him lonely.

He has to prove that he isn't the same boy who left her, all while Siena struggles to decide if she can ever trust the man who sacrificed their bond for a game.
