Meanwhile, Janice is beyond done with life. There is no more future with kids. Not after her childhood sweetheart cancelled their wedding. As the 2nd anniversary of being unemployment also arrives, she avails herself to poverty, spending her last dime to join a cooking game show.

Eddie has always seen himself as a weakling, but nothing comes close to feeling of watching less smart peers make it in life while he doesn't. So when the person he hates the most offers him a job in their family owned, cooking themed station, how can he refuse? Or maybe he should, considering how unprepared he is to face reality of the unjust media world, forcing him to drive false narratives and spy on celebrities for a dime.
