A Wind for the Lost

Ten years ago, two boys made a promise beneath a midnight sky.

One was the heir of Fire Throat, a kingdom of flame and wonder. The other was the chosen wind-bound guardian of Wind Fort. They swore they would meet again when ten years had passed.

In the ruins, Vale chose him over the laws of the world. With Wind tearing through collapsing wards, he saved Valir from execution and gave him a promise-ten years to survive, ten years to endure, and meet again beneath the ancient pact tree.

Then Valir vanished into the burning south.

Now, the promised night has arrived.

As Wind Fort's sacred Kannagi, Vale serves as a divine wind ritualist protecting the world from lingering spirits and corruption. But when midnight passes and Valir never appears, he abandons his duties and follows the only traces left-blue-burned talismans, forbidden whispers, and the trail of a Shikigami summoner tied to the world's fractured wounds.

When they finally meet again, Valir is no longer the boy he once knew.

Shaped by exile and isolation, he now wields sapphire nether-flame and bound spirits, walking a path born from the same corruption that destroyed his kingdom-and slowly consuming him in return.

As memories resurface and buried truths refuse to stay hidden, Vale must decide whether the friend he saved can still be brought back.
