Every summer, Freya Skye and Malachi Barton return to the same beach house-the same hallways, the same ocean breeze, the same friendship that has lasted their entire lives.

They know each other better than anyone else. Freya steals his hoodies without asking. Malachi answers to "KaiKai" like it's the most natural thing in the world. Their families joke that it was only a matter of time before they stopped pretending they're just best friends.
