Almost Us

He was someone I had never seen anywhere else until I stepped into Salihein Integrated School. In that Muslim school, he became my first love and my biggest 'almost.' This is a story of beautiful days, a pair of mint green shoes, and the painful reality that until today, we are still just a memory of what could have been.
