Selig Lokison has spent most of his life being groomed to one day rule the Kingdom of Asgard. And although his parents have tried to make his upbringing as normal as possible, Selig is still very much his father's son and when your father is Loki, the God of Mischief, there's bound to be trouble.

Celia Baker has known Selig since they were children and she's the one person he could always count on. At least, he could until the one night he crossed the line with her.

But when Loki decides he's had enough of Selig's recklessness and banishes him to Midgard until he proves his worthiness, Selig has to convince Celia to help him get back home. Trouble is, not only hadn't he planned on losing his heart to her, but he also has no idea how to convince her that this time, he's not playing any tricks on her.

There, she can relax and unwind and above all else, try to just be like everyone else. The best thing about being a teacher is having the summer off, although for Steve Molinaro, his summers aren't exactly free. He coaches various youth sports and camps to keep himself busy, and for two weeks every summer, he treats himself to a rest at the Jersey Shore. How was he to know something as mundane as a night on the boardwalk would lead to a chance encounter that just might change his life forever? Throw in a protective father--who also happens to be a god, a jealous ex-girlfriend who won't take no for an answer, and some magic, and Steve and Aislinn find themselves on the verge of the love of a lifetime, or the worst two weeks of their lives...
