Don't Look Too Close

Jake is a student who looks completely unremarkable at first glance-quiet, smart, and perfectly put together in class. He follows instructions, finishes work on time, and keeps to himself like he knows exactly how to stay invisible without failing.

But that version of him only exists inside school walls.

Outside of it, something subtly shifts. Not enough for most people to notice-but enough to feel wrong if you've seen both sides. A different energy slips through when the structure is gone. Less controlled. Less predictable.

Heeseung is the only teacher who notices the difference.

At first, he thinks it's just inconsistency-maybe stress, maybe attitude. But the longer he watches Jake, the clearer it becomes: Jake isn't one version of himself. He's two. And neither of them act the same when Heeseung is involved.

And that's where the problem starts-because Heeseung doesn't ignore patterns. He studies them.
