Kathleen Pierce was manipulated into forgetting Kol Mikaelson. She can no longer remember the man she once loved so deeply. All that remains is the constant feeling that something inside her is missing.

For centuries, she felt empty and, in part, lived without her humanity. Together with her sister Katherine, Kathleen used men for her own purposes. At times, she also spent time with the Mikaelsons, who were like a second family to her. She never met Kol, as he had been daggered and trapped in a coffin.

She believed she would never find what she was searching for - but then she met him... Damon Salvatore. The feeling was incredible when she saw him, and she immediately fell deeply in love with him. It also seemed as though Damon had feelings for her, but then everything turns out differently.

Had appearances deceived her, and was he truly always in love with Katherine? Who had targeted Kathleen? Who tricked her during a full moon and then had her bitten by a werewolf? Why does she keep finding herself in life-threatening situations? And what does Klaus Mikaelson have to do with all of this?
