There was only a girl-utterly alone in a world she once knew only through games, videos, and inked pages of comics. She had no understanding of why she had been brought here, no answer waiting in the dark to explain her existence. And yet, she did not resist it. She accepted it. She learned to live as though she had always belonged in this place.

But Gotham is never kind to those who try to belong.

Even now, she wonders what life will demand of her next-what path she will be forced to walk, and what she will become when the city finally decides to look back at her.
