Skyla "Sky" Blackwood is the daughter of world-famous singer Jessica Johnathan, but thanks to her mother's efforts to give her a normal childhood, very few people know who she is. Fresh out of fashion school in London, Skyla returns to New York determined to make a name for herself on her own.

One night, she helps a stranger named Violet Mackenzie and safely gets her home. They exchange numbers and stay in touch through occasional texts and greetings.

A month later, while searching for models for her first fashion collection, Skyla walks into Class & Elegance Model Agency-and comes face-to-face with Violet again.
