Y/N Ivanova is a 10-year-old child rescued from the Red Room. She spent her entire life being trained as an assassin. Because of years of abuse, isolation, and conditioning, she rarely speaks, only knows Russian fluently, and is terrified of adults-especially men. Natasha Romanoff immediately recognizes the signs because she grew up in the Red Room herself. She becomes Y/N's translator, protector, and eventually mother figure.

Charlotte Jones is only thirteen, but she has spent most of her life protecting the one person who matters most, her little sister Eloise. After growing up with a mother struggling with addiction, an absent father, and being moved in and out of care, the girls were eventually left at an orphanage when Eloise was just one year old. Now Charlotte does everything she can to keep Eloise safe. Sweet, shy four year old Eloise hides behind her big sister, believing in fairies, flowers, and the stories Charlotte reads to her at night. Their bond is the only thing that makes the orphanage feel a little less lonely. When the girls unexpectedly meet actress Elizabeth Olsen, their lives slowly begin to change. But Charlotte has built her walls high, and trusting someone with her sister's heart is the hardest thing she has ever had to do. All she has ever wanted is a real family. The question is if she will be brave enough to let one in.
