What happens when two best friends are thrown into a story that has been on hiatus for ages?
Pond and Dunk suddenly find themselves trapped inside a novel where the plot is already set in stone. The male lead, Joong, is destined to fall in love with Roselyn, the unwanted daughter of a Duke. Meanwhile, Phuwin-Roselyn's childhood friend and Joong's brother-is fated to fall for her as well, slowly descending into villainy because of his unrequited love.
At first, Pond and Dunk have no intention of interfering with the story. Their plan is simple: stay out of everyone's way, survive, and somehow find a path back home.
Unfortunately, the story has other plans.
Pond wakes up as Roselyn's fiancé-the very man who is supposed to publicly humiliate her and set the entire plot into motion. One wrong move could derail the novel, but following the script means making enemies of both the male lead and the future villain.
As Pond struggles to navigate his role, Dunk finds himself pulled deeper into a web of tangled relationships, hidden secrets, and brewing conflicts. The more they try to remain spectators, the more the story drags them toward its centre. Now, with the plot spiralling further out of control and characters beginning to act in unexpected ways, the two friends must decide: follow the story's original path or rewrite fate itself.
