In another universe, Team Sonic and the Super Hero Girls weren't the heroes of Metropolis, but were just nine humans stuck in a digital world with a circus theme. This universe follows a cast of nine humans: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Diana, Zee, Jessica, Babs, Karen, and Kara, who are trapped in the titular circus, a cartoonish virtual reality simulation. Overseen by Caine, an erratic ringmaster AI, they engage in nonsensical adventures to distract themselves from their situation, while at risk of losing their sanity and "abstracting" into digital monstrosities.

The gray clouds around it are steam, due to the Spinosmoker hunts and are close to the river or ocean etc. So that he is able to contain and heat up the water it can gather. So it becomes steam. The steam can come around its sail as an defense and bring super high heat who might burn of enemies as well focus the steam ( from its hands ) on some objects, ore or metal. To soften them up or to burn depends on the temperature. Plus it has more cover to be able get in the water if needed. So important parts wont get rust and be destroyed.
