Innocence One-Shot: We Grow Accustomed to the Dark

This is my entry to kkshootingstar's oneshot contest based on her book, Innocence. I credit all characters and settings to kkshootingstar and ABC.

My oneshot is based on a favorite poem of mine, Emily Dickinson's "We Grow Accustomed to the Dark". I posted the poem with the story because I wanted to make clear where the inspiration came from.
