Love? What does that even mean anymore?

After a painful past he would rather forget, 17-year-old Kurose Sora transfers to Shimokitazawa High School hoping for a fresh start. Determined not to repeat old mistakes, he keeps his distance from others and hides behind walls built from regret.

That is, until he meets Ijichi Nijika.

Bright, kind, energetic, and impossible to ignore, Nijika is the drummer of Kessoku Band and the kind of person who refuses to let someone stay in their shell. She slowly finds her way past the barriers Sora has spent so long building. For the first time in a while, he thinks he might actually find peace. Perhaps, moving forward could be possible.

But the past is not so easily left behind.

As old wounds resurface and buried truths come to light, Sora is forced to confront the person he used to be. And when that day comes, will Nijika still be able to accept the side of him he so desperately tries to hide? And more importantly... will he let her?

hi guys, so this is the very first work ive ever published publicly ANYWHERE, so expect this story to be a lil rough on the edges. and do note that this story is still on its 'alpha' phase, so there may be changes to the story as i continue updating. i hope you enjoy this simple story of mine :))
