Prologue: A Fractured World
In ancient times, the continent we now inhabit was whole, a realm where humans and Elemental Incarnates coexisted in enduring peace. Yet, as the eons passed, greed crept into the hearts of all. Humanity craved supernatural might, while the Elemental Incarnates coveted the Human Heart Core-a bone of supreme power within the human heart-to elevate their own strength to godlike heights.
Thus, a devastating war ignited, raging for decades without respite, a conflict where the flames of fury never ceased. At the precipice of utter annihilation, a great leader intervened to bring an end to the destruction. In that fateful moment, the unthinkable occurred: the vast continent fractured, splitting into two distant islands separated by an unforgiving sea.
Humans dwelt upon one island, and the Elemental Incarnates upon the other. Yet, despite the vast expanse of ocean between them, the ancient animosity never withered. Desperate to defend themselves, humans sought the power of the Elemental Sigils. However, they unearthed only two: the Sigils of Fire and Water. As for the remaining Sigils, they were plundered long ago, held captive in the treacherous domain of the Elemental Incarnates, guarded with the entirety of their lethal might.
And from these ashes... our journey begins.
