Zayn has a temper. A horrible temper. When he meets Kelsey while camping, everything is fine. That is, until he yells at her. Constantly. Despite his anger issues, they 'fake date' because the boys are always making fun of Zayn and how he doesn't have a girlfriend. It escalates from there. "Did you mean them?" "What?" "Those kisses?" (You know this if you've read the second chapter) The flame part is because Zayn has a fire inside him, fueled with anger. After he meets Kelsey, aka Blue, that ball of angry fire turns into a fire fueled by something else; love. Also, blue flames burn hotter than any other kind of regular flame.
