In a world where beings are divided into 4 sectors, the Earth, the Air, the Fire, the Water ones. Each element having a patron god or goddess, every being is gifted with a power according to their element.
Legend has it that soulmates are able to counter each other's power, whatever that means.
Adrienne Maveric, 16, is a Libra and an Air element. She has been gifted the rare power of concealment.
Trevor Lennor, 18, a Taurus and an Earth element. Being an Earth element means he's a pretty grounded man, therefore by some mystical way he has the power to see through any thing at all.
However, it is absolutely not allowed in this world to marry others from different elements, so how are they soulmates?

Two people fall in love in unlikely circumstances. They have a lot of psychological issues and mistrusts in the order of things to prevent them from finding themselves and each other. I am a reader of crime novels and hard science fiction almost exclusively, and yet this story, which I have been writing for a long time, is a love story, I can't explain it even to myself. The characters will have to work through hardship and evolve to be able to surrender to the magical things around them and the flow of the universe and the love of other people.
