A Slice Of My Tragically Mediocre Life

Alaida Haven is a lot of things. a coffee shop employee, a burnt-out prodigy, and a student at JC University of Science. a lot of things. lots of positive things, but who cares? In the eyes of her university classmates, she's just a weirdo sitting there. A background character with a very mediocre life, no drama, no fight, nothing but a monotonous routine. Hey! At least she's not a loser completely; she has her friend, Yuki Fujiwara, who's managed to make her life a tad bit interesting. But it's still the same: just rigid stillness of her existence in this cruel joke of a life. That was until the new transfer joined in. Ace Parker.

Ace is everything she isn't. A rich hotshot, popular on the very first day, and a menace to her sanity. He was calculating, charming, oh so clever. That should've been something they could've hit it off with, but nope, the universe hates her - the man is a cocky bastard who's rivalling her in both grades and her position as the top of the bunch. Ace gets under her skin; Alaida tries to murder him. Yuki holds her back from ending up in prison.

Her life finally wasn't boring anymore. In fact, it got too interesting. On a random day the trio comes across a chest, filled with something, but it had an ominous lock attached to it. Not thinking much, they took it home, and unbeknownst to them, there are people trying to get their hands on the same chest they found.

What's in the chest? Who are these people? Why do they want this box? How is poor Is Alaida going to survive university? And the main question: Will she and Ace find a common ground or remain rivals until the end of this adventure?
